NATURAL BRIDGES REHABILITATION

holds a Masters of Physical Therapy and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, both from Elon University. He graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s in exercise sport science, as well. Dr. Shoup has over 20 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist.  He has traveled the journey back to health with people from every walk of life and every range of physical ailment.  Dr. Shoup combines his education and years of experience with a down to earth, approachable and patient personality. He provides an atmosphere designed to help people move with purpose, back to health.

Natural Bridges Rehabilitation is a thoughtfully designed, well-equipped physical therapy clinic dedicated to providing truly personalized care. Unlike many healthcare settings, we schedule only one patient at a time, allowing our physical therapists to provide uninterrupted, one-on-one treatment during every full one-hour session. This individualized approach gives you the time, attention, and quality of care that are increasingly difficult to find in today's healthcare environment.

Developing the Next Generation of Physical Therapists

At Natural Bridges Rehabilitation, we believe that clinical education is an essential part of advancing the physical therapy profession. As a clinical education site for accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs, we are proud to help train tomorrow's physical therapists while providing our patients with exceptional, evidence-based care.

Many patients are surprised to learn that working with a student physical therapist can be a unique advantage. Our students are immersed in the most current research, clinical practice guidelines, and evidence-based treatment approaches. They bring fresh perspectives, enthusiasm, and a passion for learning that enriches every patient interaction.

Every student has completed years of rigorous academic education and is enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy program. During their clinical rotations, they work under the direct supervision of our licensed physical therapists, ensuring every patient receives safe, individualized, high-quality care.

One of the greatest benefits of being a teaching clinic is that learning never stops. While our clinicians mentor students through hands-on clinical experience, our students challenge us to continually explore new research, discuss emerging treatment approaches, and refine our clinical reasoning. This collaborative environment helps ensure that our entire team remains at the forefront of evidence-based practice.

When you receive care at Natural Bridges Rehabilitation, you're not simply seeing a therapist; you're benefiting from a collaborative team committed to lifelong learning, clinical excellence, and delivering the highest quality care possible.

At Natural Bridges Rehabilitation, we don't view teaching as an obligation; we view it as an opportunity. Our patients benefit from the combined experience of seasoned clinicians and the fresh knowledge of student physical therapists who are immersed in the latest research.
